Small amount of disappointment, but huge sense of relief since the trip from San Francisco would have been a bitch on Monday. Massive amounts of excitement that there's another pulse.

Look forward to the next beat, thank you. And please...you know you are loved far and wide, so some notice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Ali

Expansion oF ConsciousnesS is one the main benefits of a Jane's Addiction show. You will simply become more aware, especially of what your purpose is and why you incarnated here at this point in time. The music of Janes Addicton can help awaken your light body. Energetic blockages are removed allowing embodiment of your higher self. You will be guided on your path to your purpose and destiny. See in you in the milkway, spaceman.

Still waiting on news of NIN/Janes show. Please post something on it if more info is available. I live in Georgia but am ready to fly out with my wife for this show if it happens!!!

I hope to be lucky enough to attend. The El Cid gig was off the hook.

Cool man, can't wait although my vote would go for Janes doing some intimate acoustic ragas in the local coffee houses. That would be totally groovy!

Why are you on NIN.com?

Anonymous said...

I saw your picture feautured on the nin website playing with a laptop/keyboard. Does this mean the new janes songs could sound like Reznor's brand of angry, pseudo-industrial metal.
you've got me worried now. very worried.

Unknown said...

Alright, so I see your mug on nin.com now. Making me very curious and a bit excited.

Anonymous said...

No, why would it?

Does Help Wanted sound like NIN? no
Does Polar Bear sound like NIN? no
Has Jane's Addiction ever sounded like NIN? no. Jane's has always sounded like Jane's.
Has Perry Farrell ever sounded like NIN? no, but the dufas from NIN remixed Perry Farrell's Nasty Lil Perv song and made it sound like a NIN clone. Thats it.

Stop jumping to silly conclusions. Trent is probably an Avery fan like the rest of us and needed to borrow his skills for a song or two in his homo-erotic Malibu studio.

lol

Anonymous said...

Eric I know TR likes to be all secretive, but please don't make us wait. What are you guys up to?

Anonymous said...

Don't think that picture was officially approved mate. NIN has a bloody big piece of the music market and Janes wants a piece of it to chew on. That is why they're touring together you know. Computerized, sterile music is not my thing you know but hey one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Me thinks it's a tad amusing Trent is giving us more clues about JA than JA is. Haha!

Anonymous said...

I'll be at nin.com for JA updates now, bye!

Anonymous said...

Trent is stealing Eric's viewers.

Anonymous said...

Cool! Cant wait to here u guys play and to listen to whatever new art u have in the works!

I love music

Anonymous said...

NIN is a great band...so is Jane´s... hope they play together like in 91...went to NIN´s last tour and it was a fucking machine gun of sound!

Anonymous said...

What bothers me about guys like Reznor and Charlie Clouser is they are nothing more than glorified computer geeks. They have the arrogance to tell drummers what to play and how to sound. Their idea of the ultimate drum kit is a programmable box with a bunch of keypads. Someone like Stephen Perkins is better than all their high tech loop based software programs combined. He doesn't need anyone telling him what to play. He knows how to make groovin' organic drums like nobody else does. He has his own distinctive style and sound that should be left alone. BTW, Jane's first attempt to sound like nin in the song, "So What!" was a joke.

box set track list please

Anonymous said...

Hey Nevis... Reznor is NIN he can tell what ever he wants to the drummer... cause it is his music...i don´t think that´s arrogance...Jane´s is a 4 piece band so it works in other ways...plus the druming is NIN sounds killer!....you just don´t like NIN man...plain and simple.

Hey Eric you must play your songs live at least once ...Porchlight has some great guitar lines for a live gig...I mean with the songs of Decons, Polar and the solo record you have a killer show to put up.

Anonymous said...

I am still crossing my fingers. I know it is probably supposed to be a big secret but please give us some more info on the NIN/Jane's mystery!!!

Anonymous said...

What's up with that Halloween Jack Band? Is Perkins serious?

Anonymous said...

"plus the druming is NIN sounds killer!...."

eh, maybe if you like listening to a broken typewriter

Anonymous said...

JA need NIN to survive and regain credibility. NIN needs nobody, period. NIN extends its hand to JA out of its own goodwill.

Anonymous said...

...well a little typing mistake...you should have read... "plus the DRUMMING IN NIN sounds killer"...if you were smart "anonymous" you´ll figure it out by yourself...guess not.

E,

mtv sucks,
if u were smart you'd realize listening to fake nin "drums" is about as interesting as the monotonous pounding of a rivet machine in an industrial factory

Anyone here thinks the merge between Live Nation and Ticketmaster is good.

Cause I think is not good news at all.I always hated Ticketshit alone and now that´s going to be a big corporate monster is worse.

If you have a more positive view please state something just to see/read the lighter side of things

Anonymous said...

Ok Nevis like I said you just don´t like NIN...its not a crime man...obviosly you have not seen them live...LAST Tour Josh Freese played drums (Perfect Circle, The Vandals and Devo past drummer)...so if you consider these bands having lousy percussion or lousy live performance it´s your taste...and this discussion is pointless...it´s like trying to make a Britney fan get into Tool!

Anonymous said...

Hey Nevis isn´t life a blast!

Anonymous said...

like a blast of rectal methane

HA HA HA ! like I said Nevis..isn´t life a blast! HAHA

So I guess I should go to nin.com for JA updates? Please tell what you guys are up to. TR won't find out that you spilled the beans!!

Anonymous said...

Ok now I see a pic of the drum god S. Perkins and his drum set laid out in a studio on Nin.com...

**Bows Dow**

I knew you guys wouldn't let us down with just another reunion tour then split. Been waiting for this for a long time. Please record EVERYTHING you possibly can, including Perry's live in-studio acid freakout tryp.

...one must eat the other who runs free before him...

Anonymous said...

THANK YOU!!!

Anonymous said...

Pretty safe to say they are recording a standard rock song. I don't see any exotic percussion (bongos, tablas, congas, doumbek, steel drum, djembe, gong) in that picture that would indicate anything experimental or intriguing. Rhythm wise at least.

Anonymous said...

^
Shut up, you tool. You have no idea what they may be recording.

Anonymous said...

Surprised to see a real drumset make it into the studio. Trent must've lifted the ban on recording with real instrumentation.

Anonymous said...

you guys are so secretive, y?

Anonymous said...

Thanks Mike

Anonymous said...

If Trent Reznor is producing the music they record it´s gonna sound dark.I kind of like that, anyways Dave Jerden is not an option??
He´s still on, and last year he produced the last Social Distorsion record!

(If anyone does not know he produced Nothing´s Shocking and Ritual).

Anonymous said...

Finally the truth!

Anonymous said...

I know they suck, that is a given. You don't have to tell me that

Anonymous said...

Hey Eric
Looking forward to hearing your new songs!
Love,
Trish

Remember Eric, new Janes album gotta B released free of cost via digital download on the official JA website....

I think the new Jane´s website is still not a 100% functional.

Renzor couldn't write a good song even if his life depended on it. This is true.

Anonymous said...

Hey lhr

When are you going to smell my finger?

Anonymous said...

"Renzor couldn't write a good song even if his life depended on it."

Oh really? Then how do you explain the FACT that any song off of Pretty Hate Machine is better than every song off of Strays?

Anonymous said...

comparing those two releases isn't saying much, as neither are impressive to any degree worth mentioning. i wanted to enjoy nin.... but reznor just doesn't give me any reason to listen to his computer generated karaoke.
