56 second flick starring our fascinating neighbor we like to call the Sun (or, if youre religious you can call him the god Ra) from the friendly folks over at nasa. i made the soundtrack here in my hovel.
matt- i played it on a p bass but, knowing folks listen with their teeny computer speakers, i followed the bass with a square wave to resolve the bass line above 90 hz or so.
Very cool Eric, thanks! By the way I just picked up a very cool bass multi-effects processor by digitech (BP 355) -it's got some very cool sounds and effects. slightly limited, but a real fun toy to mess around with on bass ideas.
Just dropping by after not picking up your blog for several months now for some reason... not sure why... oh yeah was looking for work... all caught up now.
Regardless, thanks for keeping it going, thanks for posting some of your music ideas, I'll always find your work and your process very interesting and inspirational for myself and my band. Looking forward to your next album.
after an inauspicious stint as an unremarkable young man, a cursory tour of four high schools in three years with an early departure, perry farrell and i started janes addiction.

The video and some of the music reminds me of Autechre and Mouse on Mars. Very cool.
oh and the sound bit at 0:42-0:48 reminds me of that NBC three note chime...not like you really wanted to hear that though ha.
Oh great one, Avery Ra
Please play us some more cosmic excursions you have made, I beg of you.

Cool bass line in there EA. What did you play? Or was it key bass?
(insert encouraging words here to motivate Eric to make more music for my purely selfish reasons)
Neato!
Love it

You seem like you'd do well scoring a film or a short... I really liked how you interpreted the nuances of the nasa video.

When I can see it I can see it...
A very Happy Birthday to you Eric today, 4.25.11. Have an awesome day and play some bass!
Best, Matt
very cool!
Eric,
Any chance you could write a quick blog update regarding where you're at with the album? Those of us who abhor Twitter would be thankful.
